Welcome to Foothills Podiatry. Our clinic was established in 2023 with a focus on delivering exceptional patient service. My mission as your podiatrist is to be your advocate and to safeguard your health.
I was born in Los Angeles but spent most of my childhood growing up in Vancouver, British Columbia. After college, I lived in the San Francisco Bay area where I interned as an ophthalmology technician. I gained an interest in podiatry because I enjoy working with my hands and the prospect of someday becoming a surgeon lead me to pursue this path.
From a young age I received training in visual art; I enjoyed drawing still life and portraiture using charcoal and graphite. I also received training in musical art; I played principal second violin for a prestigious local youth orchestra at Place des Arts, eventually becoming concertmaster of my high school orchestra. Through my childhood hobbies, I developed a deep respect and appreciation for any craft or trade that demands technical skill, precision and attention to detail.
I graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Illinois and completed my surgical residency in the Henry Ford Health system in Michigan. My professional career began in 2021 as an associate podiatric surgeon in Scottsdale Arizona. It was during these first few years when I realized how frustrating and disheartening it was for some patients to simply navigate our healthcare system. My greatest fulfillment has been advocating for my patients’ health and safeguarding them from harm beyond my direct care. I started my own practice because empathy is my brand and I believe everyone deserves a dignified healthcare experience.

Conservative care first: While Dr. Chen is experienced in reconstructive surgery, he prioritizes conservative care whenever possible. Our goal is to explore non-surgical treatments first, as we firmly believe in the power of preventive and conservative measures to promote healing and relieve discomfort. However, when surgical intervention is necessary, rest assured that you are in the hands of a skilled surgeon with your best interests at heart.

Foothills Podiatry will perform it’s due diligence to verify insurance coverage prior to your visit however It is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to verify their own insurance eligibility and benefits.
Please note that insurance is not a guarantee of coverage and that any balance not paid by insurance is the patient’s responsibility.
